2022-09-14My first Squamish V6! Very reach-dependent opening move that was low percentage for me for a while, which then led into a tricky high left hand move that forced me to work on body tension and balance. The final crux was endurance and keeping it together for the big throw at the end. Certainly a tough project for me especially in the humidity of the summer. Waited for better conditions in September and the send came much easier - I was actually able to just climb and flow through the excellent moves on this problem.

Finally switched up the beta, throwing up left to the lip instead of out left. Sent second go of the day (first time with that beta!), then repeated for good measure!

2nd try. At 5'5 +2 still feels like a V6, possibly on the softer end. Regardless, it's super fun! Doesn't get much better than this, in "fun-ness" -

First of the grade but was an easy tick. Probably soft cause of my reach

Stunning boulder! Too bad it's height dependent and therefore hard to grade. I'm 6'0/6'1 (184cm + 5cm) so I could reach easily. It's going to be on the easier side of the grade for me. Definitely a 5-star problem!

When tired I thought it was a soft 7. Going back to it fresh, it was definitely easier. Probably close to 6 with my wingspan. Really good nonetheless - gym-like climbing. Deserves more than 3 stars -

Sent it 3rd try after stupidly missing the first hold. Should have flashed it. I could see how the problem might be V7 for the average height climber, it suited me very well though. -

Book says V7- seemed a bit soft, but I haven't climbed enough at this grade to argue. Also got proposed to on top of this boulder, so that was quite nice :) -

I'm 5'8 and I thought the first move was arguably a V7 move. The rest of the climb is surprisingly pumpy. Still on the soft end though.

Good straightforward climb , flat landing, one big move that's near my maximum reach span. For me, I would say that this 7 felt softer than most squamish 7s. I can see how this climb is a lot harder for those who can't reach as far.

2017-07-09contact strength required for the deadpoint is harder than a v6 so giving it the 7, but the rest of the climb goes at a v3 or so -
