Double Exposure – 5.9 (trad)

Description:

*Top 100* One of Skaha's most classic gear routes starts in a deep, slabby, left-facing corner. Layback this feature and then face climb through juggy terrain to enter an upper, left hand groove. Bring lots of gear and plenty of long slings. Rappel off. Double Exposure is a photographic technique that combines two images into a single picture.

It's OK. Theres beter ones at skaha. But a nice change from standard skaha splitters. Had an alpine feel. The challenge is properly managing rope drag. Cleaning was possible while being lowered.

pretty cool placing gear on this one, felt like the stakes were a bit higher as it was probably the most insecure of the trad lines i lead this trip. Not that it was really all that insecure but it was a bit scawy for me. Did not feel supa safe

Really good! I’m inclined to agree with the guidebook grade, had some thoughtful moves.
